Responsibility
- Oversee daily digital and offset print jobs from prepress through finishing, ensuring adherence to specs and timelines.
- Operate and maintain printing presses; monitor color consistency and print quality across runs.
- Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with prepress and design teams to optimize file preparation, color profiles, and proofs.
- Develop and enforce quality control standards; review proofs and finalize production with clients.
- Plan work orders, schedule jobs, and manage materials and consumables to meet deadlines.
- Ensure strict safety practices and compliance with SOPs and industry regulations.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in commercial print production, with proficiency in both digital and offset environments.
- Strong color management skills (ICC profiles, Pantone matching, CMYK workflows).
- Proficiency with RIP software and print workflows (e.g., Esko, Harlequin/URW, Xerox/Kodak platforms).
- Solid knowledge of prepress, finishing, and binding processes (lamination, varnish, cutting, scoring).
- Ability to read and interpret production specs, client proofs, and bill of materials; exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership abilities; able to train junior staff.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed; strong commitment to safety and quality.
