Job description
EnerTech Innovations Inc. is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to advance chemical manufacturing operations. You will lead the design, optimization, and scale-up of complex processes, driving safety, reliability, and cost efficiency across multi-disciplinary teams.
In this role, you will model plant-wide processes, contribute to capital projects, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. A strong foundation in chemical reaction engineering, process safety, and data-driven decision making is essential.
Responsibility
- Lead the design, optimization, and scale-up of chemical processes from concept to commissioning.
- Develop and validate process simulations (Aspen Plus/HYSYS) and perform rigorous mass/energy balances.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Safety, and Equipment teams to ensure safe, compliant operations and reliable performance.
- Conduct HAZOPs, LOPA, risk assessments, and root-cause investigations; implement corrective actions.
- Prepare P&ID diagrams, process specifications, and comprehensive capital project documentation.
- Drive process improvements focusing on yield, energy efficiency, and cost reduction through data analytics.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers; support project planning, scheduling, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and corporate HSE policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualification
- BS in Chemical Engineering; MS preferred.
- 5-7+ years of process engineering experience in chemical manufacturing or petrochemicals.
- Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus/HYSYS), MATLAB, and CFD is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mass and energy balances, reaction engineering, and process safety fundamentals.
- Experience with HAZOP, LOPA, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with a strong safety culture.
- Proficient in English; knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA) is a plus.
