Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of quantum optics experiments and cryogenic measurements.
- Develop experimental protocols, data analysis pipelines, and rigorous quality control.
- Collaborate with theorists and engineers to interpret results and shape research direction.
- Mentor graduate students and postdocs, and contribute to grant proposals.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Manage laboratory safety, equipment maintenance, and procurement.
- Collaborate with industry partners to translate discoveries into technology.
Qualification
- PhD in Physics or related field with a focus on quantum materials, quantum optics, or condensed matter physics.
- 7+ years of hands-on experimental experience in a lab setting.
- Proficiency with cryogenic systems, vacuum tech, laser instrumentation, and high-precision measurement.
- Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB/Julia) and data analysis using statistical methods.
- Experience with experimental design, error analysis, and reproducible research.
- Excellent communication skills and evidence of scientific writing and presenting.
- Ability to work both independently and in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
