Responsibility
- Lead design, execution, and optimization of experiments in molecular biology, cell culture, and assay development.
- Develop and validate protocols, ensuring quality and compliance with GLP and safety standards.
- Analyze complex datasets, interpret results, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior scientists, supervise daily lab operations, and manage project timelines.
- Collaborate with R&D, clinical, and manufacturing teams to translate discoveries into scalable processes.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications; contribute to IP strategy when applicable.
- Maintain laboratory safety, equipment, and inventory control; ensure compliant documentation.
Qualification
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field; or MS with 5+ years industry experience.
- Strong experience in gene editing, cell culture, and assay development (qPCR, ELISA, sequencing).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R, GraphPad) and statistical methods.
- Proven track record of leading projects and mentoring teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent scientific communication skills; publication record and ability to present to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of GMP/GLP environments and regulatory considerations for biotech products.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; willingness to relocate to Boston area if needed.
