Job description

Responsibility

  • Lead development and continuous enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework, including risk appetite, tolerance, and governance structures.
  • Oversee end-to-end risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting for operational, financial, regulatory, and strategic risk categories.
  • Partner with risk owners to implement effective controls, remediation plans, and testing program improvements.
  • Drive data-driven risk analytics, dashboards, scenario analysis, and executive-level risk reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate regulatory liaising, assurance activities, audits, and compliance with evolving requirements in the UK and EEA markets.
  • Lead crisis management, incident response, and business continuity planning; oversee contingency planning exercises.
  • Mentor and develop junior risk professionals and promote a strong risk culture across the organization.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management within financial services or a complex multi-national environment.
  • Solid knowledge of ERM frameworks (COSO, ISO 31000) and regulatory requirements (FCA, PRA, ESMA, and equivalent).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience using risk modeling, data analytics, and reporting tools (SQL, Python, or R).
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead cross-functional teams, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, or CIA are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making under pressure, and organizational skills.
