NovaBiotech Solutions is seeking a Senior Scientist, Genomics & Therapeutic Discovery to join our Cambridge, MA team. You will design and execute cutting-edge genomics experiments, translate data into actionable insights, and collaborate across R&D, biology, and translational teams.
In this role, you will contribute to therapeutic discovery programs, establish robust assays, mentor junior scientists, and help drive the translation of genomic discoveries into real-world therapies. Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of genomics experiments, including next-generation sequencing and bioinformatic analyses.
- Develop and optimize molecular assays and SOPs to ensure robust, reproducible results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (biology, translational science, manufacturing) to advance programs.
- Analyze complex datasets, interpret results, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Mentor and supervise junior scientists, providing training and career development support.
- Ensure compliance with GLP/GMP practices and maintain well-documented records.
- Contribute to publications, patent filings, and technology transfers as needed.
Qualification
- PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biotechnology, or related field; or MS with 6+ years relevant industry experience.
- 5+ years working with genomics technologies, NGS, and related data analysis (Python/R).
- Experience with CRISPR-based systems and gene editing is highly desirable.
- Strong statistical analysis skills and ability to extract actionable insights from complex data.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proven collaboration across disciplines.
- Experience with GMP/GLP and lab management, including safety and compliance.
- Track record of publications and/or patent contributions is a plus.
