We are a premier biotechnology company located in Cambridge, MA, seeking a Senior Scientist to join our rapidly growing team. This is a high-impact role focused on advancing protein engineering and translational research to deliver novel therapies.
As a key member of our R&D group, you will design and execute experiments, interpret complex data, and collaborate across biology, chemistry, and clinical teams to de-risk programs for future clinical development.

Responsibility
- Lead design, execution, and interpretation of experiments in protein biochemistry and molecular biology to characterize therapeutic candidates.
- Develop and optimize assays for protein characterization, binding kinetics, stability, and functional activity.
- Plan and manage projects with cross-functional teams to advance programs from discovery through preclinical development.
- Analyze complex datasets, generate clear reports, and present findings to stakeholders and leadership.
- Mentor junior scientists, contribute to SOPs, lab operations, and compliance with GLP/GMP standards as applicable.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies to improve throughput and data quality.
- Prepare technical documentation and contribute to patent literature and publications as needed.
Qualification
- PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field; or MS with 5+ years of industry experience in protein science.
- Strong expertise in protein engineering, purification, characterization, and assay development.
- Experience with mammalian expression systems, cell-based assays, and translational research.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistics using GraphPad Prism, R, or Python; excellent data visualization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory concepts and GLP/GMP principles preferred.
- Track record of scientific publications and/or patents is a plus.
