Responsibility
- Lead and supervise field survey crews on boundary, topographic, control, ALTA NSPS, and construction surveys.
- Prepare field notes, collect data, compute figures, and ensure accuracy to project standards.
- Operate GNSS networks, total stations, robotic instruments, and related data collection software.
- Coordinate survey plans with engineers, architects, and contractors; deliver timely progress reports and deliverables.
- Perform QA/QC on field data and final deliverables; ensure compliance with regulations and permits.
- Maintain safe field practices and mentor junior staff; manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Prepare and revise plats, maps, and exhibits using CAD and GIS tools.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of field surveying experience on municipal and private projects.
- Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) preferred or ability to obtain licensure within 12-24 months.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble or Leica total stations, GNSS receivers, data collectors, and survey software.
- Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction staking, and GIS concepts; familiarity with ALTA NSPS surveys a plus.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage complexity and deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed; comfortable working outdoors.
