Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours and day trips, bringing Palermo's history to life with storytelling.
- Ensure guest safety, manage group dynamics, and maintain accurate headcounts and itineraries.
- Provide accurate information on landmarks, culture, cuisine, and local etiquette.
- Adapt tours for different ages, mobility levels, and language abilities.
- Coordinate with operations for smooth pickups, timings, and route optimization.
- Present upsell opportunities for local experiences while respecting guest preferences.
- Maintain tour equipment, hygiene, and safety protocols; report incidents promptly.
Qualification
- Fluent English; additional languages (Italian, Spanish, French, or German) highly preferred.
- 2+ years in tour guiding, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and public speaking skills.
- Strong local knowledge of Palermo, history, art, and cuisine.
- Ability to manage groups, handle conflicts, and ensure safety.
- Valid work permit for Italy and reliable professional references.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings.
