We are seeking a Senior Translator to lead multilingual projects, ensure high translation quality, and collaborate with global teams. This role blends linguistic excellence with project leadership, offering hybrid work from our Toronto hub or remote options across Canada.
You will translate and review content in multiple language pairs, develop terminology glossaries, and optimize workflows using CAT tools. Partner with product, marketing, and legal teams to ensure consistency, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end localization projects from scoping to delivery across multiple language pairs
- Develop and maintain terminology glossaries and style guides
- Perform high-quality translation and thorough QA including post-editing
- Coordinate with product, marketing and legal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Manage project timelines, resources, and vendor relationships as needed
- Provide mentorship and feedback to junior translators
- Continuously optimize translation workflows and tool usage
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in linguistics, translation, or related field
- 5+ years of professional translation experience in at least two domains
- Fluent in English plus one or more target languages; strong cultural competency
- Proficient with CAT tools such as SDL Trados, MemoQ, Memsource
- Strong glossary development and terminology management skills
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management
- Experience with localization QA processes and project coordination
