Join LumiTranslate, a premium localization agency that partners with global brands to reach audiences across 50+ languages. We are seeking a Senior Translator to lead high impact translation projects, ensure linguistic quality, and collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment.
In this role you will translate content from English to Spanish and/or other target languages, review and edit work, and contribute to glossary and style guide development. You will work with CAT tools, maintain consistent terminology, and uphold rigorous QA standards.
Responsibility
- Lead translation and localization of marketing, product, and technical content from English into Spanish and other target languages, ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy.
- Review, edit, and QA translations, ensuring adherence to style guides, glossaries, and terminology management.
- Manage terminology databases and maintain up to date glossaries and style guides in collaboration with linguistic teams.
- Collaborate with project managers, localization engineers, and writers to scope, estimate, and deliver high quality translations on time.
- Mentor junior translators, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to process improvements and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with sector standards and privacy requirements where applicable.
- Utilize CAT tools such as SDL Trados and MemoQ to maximize consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor quality metrics and prepare reports for stakeholders to inform project decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional translation/localization experience, preferably in marketing and tech.
- Native or professional proficiency in Spanish; strong command of English; additional languages a plus.
- Proven experience with CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ) and glossary management.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for brand voice and tone.
- Experience localizing a variety of content types, including marketing materials, UI, help docs, and emails.
- Strong project management and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
