Job description
NovaDesign Co. is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our design team in San Francisco. You will lead end-to-end product design across consumer apps and web platforms, shaping user experiences that are delightful, accessible, and measurable. You'll collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers to translate complex problems into clear, elegant interfaces.
We value curiosity, craftsmanship, and a user-centric mindset. Remote options available for highly qualified candidates; you will be expected to travel to SF quarterly.
Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process from discovery to delivery, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and research teams to define and implement design systems and component libraries.
- Conduct usability testing, synthesize findings, and iterate on solutions to improve conversion and engagement.
- Create clear user flows, information architectures, and interaction models for web and mobile experiences.
- Produce high-fidelity designs, design specs, and motion/UI micro-interactions.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a scalable design culture and processes.
- Advocate for accessibility (WCAG), inclusive design, and performance-conscious decisions.
Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products, with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision; strong knowledge of design systems.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing; ability to translate insights into design.
- Strong visual design skills and ability to create consistent, accessible interfaces.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals and collaboration with engineering.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with responsive design and mobile-first approach.
