Job description
GreenLoop Solutions is seeking a results driven Senior Waste Management Engineer to lead our environmental programs and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes for municipal and commercial clients. This role combines regulatory diligence, data driven optimization, and cross functional collaboration to advance responsible waste handling and recycling initiatives.
In this pivotal position you will:
- Develop and manage waste management programs that meet or exceed applicable environmental regulations and client expectations.
- Analyze waste streams, optimize collection routes, and implement diversion strategies to reduce costs and emissions.
- Oversee hazardous and non hazardous waste handling, storage, and transportation in accordance with RCRA and local rules.
- Lead data collection, KPI tracking, and analytics to quantify program performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with municipalities, facilities, and vendors to deploy sustainable waste solutions.
- Prepare permit applications, compliance reports, and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Mentor junior staff, manage projects, and champion a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibility
- Lead the development and management of waste management programs to meet regulatory requirements and client goals.

- Oversee hazardous and non hazardous waste handling, storage, and transportation in accordance with RCRA and local rules.
- Maintain accurate data, KPIs, and reporting to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaborate with municipalities, facilities, and vendors to deploy sustainable waste solutions.
- Prepare permit applications, compliance reports, and documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and lead cross functional project teams.
Qualification
- Masters degree or bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field; masters degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in waste management or environmental services.
- Strong knowledge of EPA, RCRA, OSHA regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with waste tracking software, GIS, and data analytics tools.
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel as needed.
