Join GreenStream Environmental Solutions as a Senior Waste Management Engineer and lead innovative programs to optimize waste collection, treatment, and disposal for industrial and municipal clients. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, process optimization, and sustainable waste strategies that reduce environmental impact.
Based in Houston, Texas, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design compliant, cost-effective solutions and mentor junior engineers.
Responsibility
- Lead design and optimization of waste collection, treatment, and disposal systems for client projects.
- Ensure compliance with EPA, state, and local environmental regulations; develop permits and reporting.
- Perform life-cycle cost analysis, risk assessments, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets; coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Lead sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling programs, and circular economy initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers; present to clients and stakeholders.
- Support business development with technical proposals and client presentations.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years in waste management, environmental compliance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of RCRA, EPCRA, TSCA, and Hazardous Waste regulations.
- Experience with permitting, reporting, and environmental impact assessments.
- Proven project management skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools including Excel and GIS; familiarity with waste management software.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills; ability to prepare proposals and technical reports.
- Professional Engineer license preferred.
