Kingsbay Group LLC is seeking a strategic and hands-on SEO & Content Specialist / Lead to own and grow the e-commerce content presence across our diverse brand portfolio. This contract role is ideal for a results-driven marketer who can blend data-driven strategies with meticulous execution in a fast-paced, global ecommerce environment based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
You will develop and implement end-to-end SEO and content programs that increase organic visibility, drive qualified traffic, and convert visitors into customers. Working closely with product, marketing, design, and development teams, you will craft compelling product descriptions, category pages, and editorial content while ensuring alignment with brand voice, accessibility, and technical SEO best practices. Your leadership will shape editorial calendars, content briefs, and localization plans across markets.
By monitoring performance with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other analytics tools, you will measure impact, optimize campaigns, and report insights to leadership. You will manage a small team of writers or contractors as needed, and mentor colleagues to uphold high standards of quality and consistency. Responsibility
- Lead the development and execution of a holistic SEO and content strategy for the e-commerce portfolio, covering product detail pages, category pages, and blog content to boost organic visibility and conversion rates.
- Perform in-depth keyword research, competitive analysis, and trend monitoring to inform content briefs and an actionable editorial calendar.
- Create high-quality, on-brand product descriptions, category content, landing pages, and blog articles optimized for search engines and user experience.
- Optimize on-page and technical SEO elements (title tags, meta descriptions, headings, schema markup) and collaborate with developers for site-wide improvements.
- Manage content production workflows, coordinate with product teams, designers, and copywriters, and oversee localization and translation when needed.
- Analyze performance with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other analytics tools; generate regular reports and make data-driven optimizations.
- Monitor industry trends and algorithm updates to identify opportunities and proactively adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
- Coach and mentor junior writers or contractors, ensuring consistent tone, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Qualification
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or e-commerce content roles with a proven track record of increasing organic traffic and conversions.
- Strong knowledge of on-page and technical SEO, keyword research, content optimization, and analytics interpretation.
- Experience with CMS platforms (Shopify, WordPress, or similar) and basic HTML/CSS; ability to edit and optimize content directly.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt voice to different brands and audiences.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable content strategies; proficient in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and data visualization.
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration skills; experienced in managing editorial calendars and multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, conversion rate optimization, and A/B testing; familiarity with structured data and schema markup.
- Based in Kuala Lumpur or Malaysia, or willing to work on-site/hybrid in Kuala Lumpur; ability to commit to a contract schedule.
