Private Advertiser is seeking a results-driven Sourcing Manager to lead procurement for CNC and precision manufacturing at Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah. This role blends strategic sourcing, supplier development and cross-functional collaboration to ensure world-class quality, on-time delivery and cost efficiency across the production floor. The successful candidate will shape supplier strategies for high precision components, tooling, and services that support our manufacturing lines, partnering with engineering and manufacturing leaders to translate product requirements into actionable sourcing plans.

In this role you will manage end-to-end procurement activities from supplier discovery and qualification to performance management, contract negotiation and supplier onboarding. You will work closely with engineering, QA and production teams to ensure sourcing aligns with specifications, process capabilities and regulatory standards. You will lead supplier performance reviews, implement cost-reduction initiatives and drive supplier collaboration on quality improvements, tooling reliability and delivery reliability.

Responsibility
- Develop and execute strategic procurement plans for CNC equipment, tooling and precision components
- Lead supplier selection, qualification, onboarding and ongoing performance management
- Negotiate terms, prices and contracts with key vendors to achieve cost savings and risk mitigation
- Collaborate with engineering, quality and production teams to ensure sourcing aligns with specs and process capabilities
- Manage supplier risk, audits and compliance with procurement policies and ethical standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as lead time reduction, supplier quality improvement and on-time delivery
- Monitor procurement metrics, spend analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions
- Mentor and develop the sourcing team (where applicable) and foster cross-functional collaboration
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field; MBA is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of procurement or sourcing experience in CNC or precision manufacturing
- Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management and contract administration skills
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and data analytics for sourcing decisions
- Solid knowledge of CNC machining processes, tooling, metrology and quality systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Project management experience and ability to lead cross-functional projects in a manufacturing setting
- Excellent communication skills in English and Malay, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Professional certification such as CPSM or CIPS is a plus
