Job description
QuantaCore Labs is seeking a motivated physicist to join our quantum research team in Cambridge, MA. This full time position focuses on experimental quantum optics, precision metrology, and pioneering data analysis for scalable quantum technologies. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and theorists to design, assemble, and characterize advanced photonic systems.

Responsibility
- Lead design and execution of quantum optics experiments including photonic integration and interferometry.
- Develop and implement data processing pipelines using Python and MATLAB to extract high precision measurements.
- Characterize optical components and detectors, calibrate systems, and maintain experimental documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement robust hardware and software for repeatable experiments.
- Present findings to internal teams and external collaborators; contribute to publications and patents.
- Mentor graduate students and junior researchers, ensuring safe and compliant lab practices.
Qualification
- PhD in physics or related field or equivalent experience in experimental quantum optics.
- Strong hands on experience with lasers, photonics, cryogenics, and precision metrology.
- Proficiency in data analysis and programming with Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Experience with lab safety, quality control, and documentation standards.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced research environment and manage multiple projects.
