Infinitytools Mfg. Corporation is seeking an experienced Surface Grinder Operator to join our precision-focused manufacturing team in Laguna. This is a full-time on-site role designed for hands-on machining professionals who are passionate about quality, efficiency, and craftsmanship.
As a Surface Grinder Operator, you will set up and operate surface grinding machines to shape metal parts to exact tolerances. You will read engineering drawings, select appropriate grinding wheels, and dial in feeds and speeds to achieve consistent surface finishes. Inspect parts with basic metrology tools, document measurements, and communicate any deviations to the team. Your meticulous approach will help us uphold our standards for precision across production lines.

Responsibility
- Set up and operate surface grinding machines to produce components per engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Dress, mount, and dress grinding wheels; select grinding parameters and monitor wheel wear.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T tolerances, and inspection plans.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other basic measuring tools; document measurements and report variances.
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to maintain specified tolerances and surface finish.
- Perform routine machine setup, routine preventive maintenance, and keep the work area clean and organized in line with lean manufacturing practices.
- Collaborate with machinists and quality inspectors to ensure on-spec parts and continuous improvement of processes.
Qualification
- High school diploma or vocational training; proven experience as a surface grinder operator in a manufacturing environment.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with surface grinding processes and wheel dressing/truing.
- Ability to read blueprints and GD&T; strong attention to detail and quality mindset.
- Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and basic metrology techniques.
- Solid mathematical skills, good spatial reasoning, and ability to verify workpiece dimensions against tolerances.
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of shop floor safety procedures and the ability to work in an organized, timely manner.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills; reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
