Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our prestigious finance team in New York City. The role focuses on corporate tax compliance, strategic tax planning, and advisory services for multinational clients. You will drive tax provision processes, support audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize tax positions while ensuring compliance with US federal and state tax laws.

As a member of our Taxation team, you will leverage technical expertise and business acumen to deliver actionable tax insights that protect value and enable growth.

Responsibility

  • Lead the preparation and review of US federal and state corporate income tax returns and quarterly estimated payments.
  • Prepare and document ASC 740 tax provisions and ensure accurate effective tax rate calculations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize global and domestic tax positions for multinational clients.
  • Oversee transfer pricing analyses, documentation, and supporting intercompany billing strategies.
  • Coordinate with FP&A, accounting, and legal teams to identify tax risks and opportunities.
  • Manage tax audit activities with federal and state authorities; respond to inquiries and defend positions.
  • Stay updated on evolving tax laws, BEPS, and regulatory changes; provide training and guidance to colleagues.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, Enrolled Agent, or equivalent tax certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting or in-house tax department.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740, US federal and state tax compliance, and international tax concepts.
  • Experience with transfer pricing documentation, BEPS actions, and tax risk management.
  • Proficiency with tax research tools (CCH, Thomson Reuters) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and client-management skills; ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
