Harborview Theological Institute invites applications for a full-time Theology Professor to join our vibrant faculty. The ideal candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in systematic theology, biblical interpretation, and ethics; supervise student research; contribute to curriculum development; and participate in community outreach and interfaith dialogue. A PhD in Theology or related field is required; a demonstrated record of scholarly publication and effective teaching is preferred. Responsibility
- Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in theology and related disciplines with emphasis on critical thinking and ethical reflection.
- Develop and update curriculum, syllabi, and assessment methods aligned with program goals.
- Mentor and supervise student research projects and theses.
- Engage in scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and seek external funding when appropriate.
- Represent the department in academic committees and community outreach programs.
- Contribute to interfaith dialogue and public theology initiatives on campus and in the community.
- Advise students on academic and career paths and participate in recruitment and retention efforts.
Qualification
- PhD in Theology or related field from an accredited institution by start date.
- Evidence of excellence in teaching at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
- Strong publication record in theology or related areas.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Ability to teach courses across multiple theological traditions and engage diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
- Desire to participate in community outreach and interfaith initiatives.
