Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking and bus tours, providing accurate historical and cultural commentary.
- Tailor tours to audience interests, adapt on the fly, and manage group dynamics to ensure safety and enjoyment.
- Research and craft compelling narratives, anecdotes, and fact-checked details about local landmarks.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure smooth tour logistics, scheduling, and equipment readiness.
- Deliver exceptional guest service; answer questions, resolve issues, and handle feedback professionally.
- Uphold safety standards, assist with crowd control, and enforce local regulations during tours.
- Capture and share tour highlights through post-tour reports and social content as appropriate.
Qualification
- 1+ year of tour guiding, hospitality, or customer-facing roles; tourism degree a plus.
- Excellent public speaking, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent English; additional languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) highly valued.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods; comfortable carrying light equipment.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail; confident with historical facts and dates.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and dependable work ethic.
- Valid work authorization for the United States; willingness to obtain any required permits.
