Join our dynamic Crescent City Explorers team as a Tour Guide in New Orleans, LA. Lead immersive walking tours, share captivating history, and deliver memorable experiences for travelers from around the world.
We seek energetic storytellers with a passion for culture, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to exceptional guest service. This is a part-time, seasonal role with flexible shifts and competitive earnings, including tips.
Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours of historic districts, highlighting architecture, music, cuisine, and local lore.
- Deliver accurate, engaging narratives tailored to diverse audiences and group sizes.
- Ensure guest safety, manage crowds, and address accessibility needs with professionalism.
- Coordinate with operations for on-time departures, route planning, and equipment handling.
- Respond to questions, adapt to weather or scheduling changes, and maintain enthusiasm throughout the tour.
- Capture and relay feedback, report issues, and help improve the guest experience.
- Promote additional experiences, private tours, and seasonal offerings to enhance revenue opportunities.
Qualification
- Excellent public speaking skills with a natural, engaging storytelling style.
- Fluency in English; additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus.
- 1+ year experience in tour guiding, hospitality, or customer service.
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans history, culture, and local landmarks preferred.
- Ability to walk several miles and stand for extended periods; comfortable with outdoor conditions.
- Outstanding guest service, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and holidays.
