Responsibility

  • Translate and localize documents from English to German (and vice versa) while preserving meaning, tone, and audience intent.
  • Localize content for target markets across legal, marketing, product, and technical domains.
  • Manage translation memory and terminology databases to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers, editors, and clients to understand requirements and schedules.
  • Perform quality assurance, including proofreading, QA checks, and style guide alignment.
  • Create and maintain glossaries, style guides, and consistency reports for ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate with freelance translators and external vendors to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Provide feedback and training to junior translators to raise team standards.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Native or near-native German and fluent English with excellent writing and editing skills.
