The Genfinity Philippines, Inc. team is seeking a meticulous and proactive Underwriting Coordinator to join our growing operations in Makati. In this role you will support underwriting by efficiently processing incoming submission emails from broker partners, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely routing to the underwriting desk. You will collaborate with brokers, account managers, and internal teams to maintain clean submission queues, flag missing information, and contribute to faster policy decisions.
As an essential member of the underwriting support group, you will monitor inboxes, triage requests, validate policy data, and coordinate with underwriters to resolve exceptions. A strong focus on data quality, organization, and clear communication under tight deadlines will help you succeed. A customer service mindset and proactive problem solving are highly valued.

Key responsibilities include monitoring submission inboxes, triaging requests, validating data accuracy, preparing information for underwriting reviews, and ensuring timely submissions for new business and renewals.
You will maintain submission queues, track service levels, and generate routine reports to support management decisions. You will partner with brokers to request missing documents, clarify data points, and resolve discrepancies. You will contribute to process improvements by identifying bottlenecks and suggesting changes to workflows, forms, or templates that streamline operations and reduce rework.
Responsibility
- Process incoming submission emails from broker partners and route to underwriting with accuracy and speed.
- Validate submission data, request missing information, and ensure all documents are complete before underwriting assessment.
- Monitor and manage submission queues to meet SLA targets and timely decisioning.
- Coordinate with underwriters to resolve exceptions, endorsements, or policy constraints.
- Maintain clear communication with brokers and internal teams, providing timely status updates and follow-ups.
- Prepare data for underwriting reviews and support renewal and new business submissions as needed.
- Generate routine reports on submission volume, quality, and turnaround times to support management decisions.
- Identify bottlenecks in processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience in underwriting support or insurance operations.
- 1-3 years of experience in underwriting support, insurance operations, or a call center/BPO environment.
- Strong attention to detail and high data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; professional telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with CRM or underwriting systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Customer-service mindset with proactive issue resolution and courteous broker interactions.
- Experience with broker submissions or experience using submission portals is a plus.
