In this role, you will safeguard the financial performance of our fleet by tracking voyage costs, monitoring expenditures, validating invoices, and ensuring accuracy across multiple vessels and markets.
As a key partner to fleet operations, you will deliver timely financial reporting, support budgeting and forecasting, and implement cost-control initiatives across fuel, port charges, maintenance, crewing, and other voyage-related costs. Your work will help optimize profitability while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and maritime regulations.

Responsibility
- Monitor and validate vessel operating costs across fuel, port charges, maintenance, provisioning, crewing, insurance, and dry-docking; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and voyage accounting dashboards; analyze variances and present insights to fleet and finance teams.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization initiatives for the fleet; identify opportunities to improve profitability without compromising safety and compliance.
- Coordinate with vessel management, procurement, and shore-side accounting to validate invoices and ensure timely settlements.
- Maintain robust financial controls and audit trails; ensure compliance with corporate policies and maritime regulations.
- Assist in cash flow planning, working capital management, and vessel-level financial performance tracking.
- Collaborate with operations to forecast fuel consumption, bunkering, and maintenance cycles; support dry-dock planning and provisioning.
- Contribute to process improvements by documenting standard operating procedures and supporting system enhancements.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Maritime Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cost control, budgeting, or vessel accounting within the shipping or maritime sector.
- Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and voyage accounting in a maritime environment.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of maritime regulations, freight, bunkering, and voyage costing concepts.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; proficient in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Eligible to work in Singapore and willing to travel occasionally as required.
