Aurora Film Collective is seeking a dynamic Video Producer to lead high-profile film and video projects from concept to delivery. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this role blends creative collaboration with meticulous production management. You will shepherd projects through pre-production, production, and post, ensuring on-time delivery within budget while maintaining the highest visual and storytelling standards.

As a key member of our production team, you will partner with directors, DP, editors, and clients to craft compelling narratives for digital campaigns, branded content, and short-form cinema. This is a hands-on, collaborative role offering growth opportunities across an ambitious slate of projects.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end production planning, including script breakdowns, shot lists, storyboards, and production calendars.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocations; track costs and authorize expenditures.
  • Source and secure cast, crew, locations, gear, permits, and vendors; negotiate contracts and rates.
  • Collaborate with directors, cinematographers, and editors to ensure creative vision is realized on set and in post.
  • Oversee on-set logistics, safety, and compliance; manage risk and contingency planning.
  • Coordinate post-production workflow: footage ingest, organization, rough cuts, color, audio mixing, and final delivery.
  • Maintain clear client communications, provide progress updates, and manage expectations with stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior producers and interns; contribute to team culture, process improvement, and best practices.

Qualification

  • 3-5 years of production experience in film, television, or branded video; agency or studio environment preferred.
  • Strong budget management, scheduling, and vendor negotiation skills; proficient with production software (StudioBinder, Celtx, Frame.io) and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate with directors, DPs, editors, and clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Knowledge of permits, unions, location logistics, and safety protocols; ability to travel as required.
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating leadership in producing high-quality video content across formats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required with demonstrated experience.
  • Positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and a passion for storytelling.
