NovaStock Distribution is seeking a reliable Warehouse Associate to join our Chicago operations. Responsibility
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming inventory and verify quantities against packing lists
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to accuracy standards
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and perform basic material handling
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS) and conduct periodic cycle counts
- Ensure shipping documentation is complete and compliant with carrier requirements
- Keep the workspace clean, safe, and organized; follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
- Collaborate with team members and supervision to meet daily production and delivery targets
- Assist with inventory audits and process improvements to optimize efficiency
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year of warehousing or order fulfillment experience
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and understand basic warehouse software
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions
- Forklift certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification within 60 days if not certified
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
