Join our growing Chicago-based warehouse team as a Warehouse Operations Specialist. You’ll play a critical role in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods with accuracy and care. As a key member of the logistics group, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and inventory data remains precise.
Responsibility
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments, ensuring documentation and condition are accurate.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipping with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Operate forklift, pallet jack, and scanning devices to move inventory safely.
- Maintain and update the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and movements.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; comply with safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with transportation and customer service teams to meet daily shipping deadlines.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred (1+ year).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods; comfortable with repetitive tasks.
- Stand-up forklift certification is preferred; forklift experience required or demonstrated willingness to obtain certification.
- Proficiency with basic computer functions; experience with WMS/RF scanners a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork; proactive problem-solving mindset.
