IOI Acidchem Sdn Bhd is seeking a motivated Warehouse Technician to join our Penang site. This hands-on role is essential for enabling smooth production through accurate inventory, safe material handling, and reliable warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
\nAs part of our logistics team, you will ensure inbound materials are received correctly, stored securely, and readily available for production. You will maintain precise stock records, conduct regular cycle counts, and coordinate with production planners to support cycle schedules and minimize downtime.
\nYou will operate standard warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (where certified), observe all safety protocols, and keep the warehouse clean and organized. You will prepare picking lists, issue materials to production lines, and assist with shipping documentation to ensure timely delivery to customers and internal teams.

\nResponsibility

- Receive, inspect, and document inbound materials, ensuring accuracy and quality checks. \n
- Store materials in designated locations and maintain organized, accessible stock. \n
- Pick, pack, and issue materials to production lines in a timely manner. \n
- Update inventory records in the warehouse management system and conduct cycle counts. \n
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts (where certified) and uphold safety standards. \n
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse and report any safety hazards. \n
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams to support production schedules and minimize downtime. \n
- Assist with shipping documentation, goods shipments, and waste disposal as required. \n
Qualification

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus. \n
- 1-3 years of warehouse or manufacturing experience; familiarity with inventory control systems. \n
- Proficiency with basic computer software; experience with warehouse management systems is preferred. \n
- Physical ability to perform manual handling and operate equipment; good stamina. \n
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving mindset. \n
- Safety-conscious with knowledge of GMP/ISO principles; willingness to follow procedures. \n
- Good communication and teamwork skills; reliable and punctual. \n
- Forklift certification is a plus; training may be provided for the right candidate. \n
