Greystone Waste Solutions is seeking a results-driven Waste Management Project Engineer to lead sustainability initiatives across municipal and commercial waste streams. Based in Seattle, WA, you will drive waste reduction, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibility
- Develop and implement waste reduction, recycling, and diversion programs across multiple facilities.
- Analyze data, KPIs, and routing efficiency to optimize collection and disposal operations.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal environmental requirements and reporting.
- Collaborate with haulers, facilities, and vendors to optimize contracts, budgets, and service levels.
- Lead environmental reporting, audits, and certifications (ISO 14001, if applicable).
- Manage projects from scoping to implementation for equipment, software, or process changes.
- Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities and emissions reductions using data-driven methods.
- Provide technical guidance to operations teams on best practices in waste handling and sustainability.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field; 5+ years of waste management experience.
- Strong knowledge of waste regulations (RCRA, DOT, EPA) and permitting processes.
- Proven experience with data analytics, Excel, SQL, GIS, and CMMS/EAM systems.
- Project management experience; PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic) as needed.
- Experience with recycling, composting, organics, and hazardous waste handling.
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
