Responsibility
- Coordinate waste collection, separation, and disposal activities to maximize efficiency and compliance.
- Develop and implement waste diversion and recycling programs to meet client and regulatory targets.
- Monitor and optimize operating budgets, scheduling, and vendor contracts.
- Ensure adherence to EPA, OSHA, and state waste management regulations and company policies.
- Analyze operational data and prepare dashboards and reports for leadership and clients.
- Lead health and safety initiatives and incident investigation to uphold best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sustainability projects and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in waste management, recycling, or environmental services.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local waste regulations and permitting processes.
- Proven project management and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI) and waste tracking software; comfortable interpreting metrics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client-service skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Professional certifications such as CEM, CWP, or equivalent are a plus.
