Responsibility
- Lead and manage waste management projects from kickoff to closure, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
- Design and implement recycling and waste diversion programs that meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., RCRA, EPA standards) and company policies.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls; monitor KPIs and report progress to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with vendors, haulers, and municipal partners; negotiate contracts and SLAs.
- Analyze waste streams, propose optimization strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead safety programs, risk assessments, and incident investigations in collaboration with the EHS team.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in waste management, environmental services, or related sectors.
- Proven project management experience; PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (RCRA, DOT Hazmat, EPA) and environmental compliance.
- Excellent data analysis skills and proficiency with MS Office; experience with EHS software or ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to safety and sustainable practices; ability to travel as required.
