Job description

BruntWork is seeking a detail-oriented WFH Legal Documentation Specialist to join our remote team serving clients across the Philippines. In this role, you will transcribe verbatim audio and video from depositions and interviews into clear, legally compliant Word documents. Your work will prioritize precision, impeccable formatting, and strict confidentiality to meet client and court standards. This is a stable, full-time remote opportunity designed for experienced legal transcriptionists who thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

As part of our legal documentation team, you will work with diverse case files and legal materials, ensuring transcripts capture all spoken terms, pauses, and nonverbal cues when applicable. You will apply client-specific formatting guidelines, manage exhibits and timestamps, and maintain meticulous records to support attorneys, paralegals, and clients. The role requires excellent listening skills, high accuracy, and a strong command of Microsoft Word to produce professional, court-ready documents.

This position is based in Metro Manila with fully remote responsibilities. We offer competitive compensation, opportunities for career growth, and a collaborative virtual team culture. If you are meticulous, discretely minded, and passionate about producing precise legal records, we want to hear from you.

Join BruntWork and contribute to a workflow focused on accuracy, confidentiality, and timely delivery in the legal documentation space.

Responsibility

  • Manage multiple transcripts simultaneously, tracking progress, deadlines, and quality metrics in our workflow system.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data-security practices, adhering to firm policies and applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, attorneys, and clients to resolve ambiguities and confirm intended meaning where needed.
  • Continuously improve processes by applying feedback and staying current with changes in legal terminologies and formatting standards.

Qualification

  • 2+ years of experience in legal transcription or a closely related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with legal formatting standards and citation conventions.
  • Excellent listening, typing speed, and accuracy, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, abbreviations, and deposition transcript conventions.
  • Ability to work independently from a home office with reliable internet and a distraction-free environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
