Responsibility
- Develop and maintain actuarial pricing and reserving models using Python, R, and Excel.
- Analyze data sources and ensure data quality for model inputs.
- Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Underwriting teams to translate insights into actionable business actions.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
- Support actuarial exams and credential progression; contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
- Validate models through governance processes, back-testing, and scenario analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide scenario analyses and stress tests to support strategic decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Actuarial credentials in progress or completed (SOA, CAS or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong analytical and coding skills in Python or R; experience with SQL and Excel.
- Experience with actuarial software such as MoSes, Prophet, or similar tools is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with data visualization and storytelling using charts and dashboards.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
