Join Lumina Actuarial Solutions, a leading risk and analytics firm delivering strategic insights for insurance and financial services clients. We’re seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to lead complex modeling, pricing, and reserving initiatives in a collaborative, high-impact environment in New York.
As a key member of our actuarial team, you’ll translate data into actionable strategies, influence product design, and provide governance around regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Lead pricing, reserving, and experience analysis for multi-line portfolios.
- Develop and validate actuarial models (loss cost, pricing, stochastic) using R, Python, and SQL.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Underwriting to drive profitability and risk management.
- Mentor junior analysts and drive technical knowledge sharing.
- Prepare compelling presentations for executives and clients summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Ensure documentation and model governance compliant with internal standards and external regulations.
- Stay current with industry developments, regulators, and best practices in actuarial science.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5+ years of actuarial experience in insurance or financial services; ASA/CERA progress or Fellowship preferred.
- Strong modeling skills in R, Python, SAS; proficiency in SQL and Excel.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with regulatory filings, ERM, capital modeling, or ORSA is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving capabilities and project management experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
