We are seeking a detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst who collaborates with underwriters, product managers, and data scientists to translate complex data into actionable business decisions. This role offers mentorship, a clear path toward FCAS certification, and exposure to advanced modeling techniques in a supportive, high-performance environment.
As part of our team, you will:
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain pricing and reserving models for property & casualty and life products using Excel, VBA, SQL, and Python/R.
- Evaluate experience studies, trends, and assumptions; present findings to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, and data science teams to implement data-driven pricing and risk assessment strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, executive summaries, and regulator-ready documentation with clear methodology and results.
- Validate models, document assumptions, and ensure compliance with actuarial standards of practice.
- Contribute to forecasting, capital planning, and scenario analyses to support business decisions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; FCAS/CSSA or candidacy is preferred.
- 1-4 years of actuarial experience in pricing, reserving, or risk modeling, with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced), SQL; experience with Python or R is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with actuarial software and methodologies (e.g., Prophet, MoSes, or similar) and experience with data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, demonstrate professional judgment, and uphold ethical standards.
