In this role, you will partner with pricing, finance, and product teams to drive data-driven decisions, build robust models, and communicate actionable insights to senior leadership.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain pricing models for personal and commercial lines to improve profitability and competitiveness.
- Assist with reserves estimation and standard actuarial reporting under IFRS 17/GAAP.
- Build and stress-test stochastic models, scenarios, and sensitivity analyses for product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- Prepare actuarial notes, dashboards, and presentations for executives and regulators as required.
- Extract, validate, and transform data from data repositories using SQL and Python/R.
- Monitor model performance, document methodologies, and ensure governance and audit readiness.
- Support professional development and actuarial exam progression within the team.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA/ACIA or equivalent) with several exams completed.
- 2–5 years of actuarial experience in pricing, reserving, or risk modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL and Python or R for data manipulation.
- Knowledge of pricing, reserving, and risk modeling concepts and actuarial software tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to present complex analyses clearly.
- Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a client-focused mindset.
