Key daily activities include analyzing customer requirements, configuring applications or control software, validating performance through testing, documenting technical specifications, and providing hands on training and after sales support. Travel to client sites may be required to install, commission and troubleshoot equipment.
Responsibility
- Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for automated systems.
- Design, configure and validate software and hardware applications to meet customer needs across diverse industries.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams including sales, product, and service to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and service reports.
- Perform testing, validation, and commissioning of systems at client sites or remotely.
- Provide on site or remote technical support and training to customers and field engineers.
- Analyze performance data, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements.
- Stay current with industry trends in automation, control systems, and instrumentation to drive innovative solutions.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in an Application Engineer or similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, PLC programming, instrumentation, and automation concepts.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C/C++, and experience with data analysis.
- Experience with automation projects and integration with MES/ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and customer facing skills; ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required and work in dynamic environments.
- Ability to create clear technical documentation and deliver effective trainings.
