Join a globally recognized energy leader in Houston. We are seeking a seasoned Petroleum Engineer to drive upstream projects from concept to execution, optimize production, and maximize asset value.
In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically sound, economically viable solutions in a fast paced environment. You will leverage modern simulation tools and data analytics to unlock value across assets while adhering to the highest HSE standards.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir and well optimization projects from concept through execution, ensuring safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct reservoir characterization, production forecasting, and techno-economic analyses to support investment decisions.
- Model and simulate reservoir performance using industry standard tools; identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery and production optimization.
- Collaborate with drilling, facilities, and subsurface teams to develop integrated field development plans.
- Develop risk assessments, design reviews, and compliance documentation in line with HSE policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across asset teams.
- Prepare technical reports, present findings to senior management, and support external stakeholders as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field
- 5+ years of upstream oil and gas experience with a track record of delivering projects
- Strong knowledge of reservoir engineering, drilling, completion, and production operations
- Proficiency with industry software such as Petrel, Eclipse/Prosper, and data analytics tools
- Excellent problem solving, communication, and collaborative skills
- Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain in Texas preferred
- Willingness to travel and operate in a dynamic field environment
