Role snapshot: As Area Sales Manager, you will manage the Bekasi territory, coach the sales team, build strategic retailer partnerships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth while upholding Unicharm's values and standards.
Responsibility
- Lead and grow a high-performing sales team across Bekasi territory, driving revenue, market share, and distribution coverage for Unicharm's consumer brands.
- Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans aligned with marketing goals and KPIs to accelerate top-line growth.
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key retailers, distributors, and trade partners; negotiate profitable agreements and promotional plans.
- Monitor field activity, analyze sales data, and forecast demand to optimize route-to-market, inventory, and budget usage.
- Ensure product availability and in-store visibility through effective merchandising, POS materials, and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure timely launches and inventory management.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the sales team; recruit, train, and evaluate performance with regular development plans.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while delivering consistent performance reporting to leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive sales experience in FMCG, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or territory management role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding distribution in Bekasi or similar markets.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Deep knowledge of the Bekasi retail landscape and distributor networks.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis tools; ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Fluent in Indonesian; English proficiency is a plus; willingness to travel within the region.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
