Job description
Join Grand Venture Technology as an Assembly Engineer in Ulu Tiram, Johor, and help shape how our products are built, tested, and delivered to customers. You will collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams to design assembly processes that maximize efficiency while maintaining strict quality standards. This role emphasizes hands-on process design, data-driven improvement, and a strong focus on safety and workstation ergonomics.
As an Assembly Engineer, you will develop detailed work instructions, build the bill of materials, and define routings to ensure consistent, repeatable production. You will analyze cycle times, scrap rates, and downtime to identify bottlenecks, then implement practical, low-risk improvements. You will lead small cross-functional projects, facilitate root cause analysis for any defects, and verify corrective actions on the production line. The role offers opportunities to mentor operators and contribute to ongoing shop floor innovation.
Grand Venture Technology is committed to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. We value curious, results-driven engineers who take ownership of their processes and communicate effectively with frontline teams. If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and want to grow your skills in assembly engineering, process optimization, and production planning, this could be the right next step in your career. We provide competitive compensation, learning opportunities, and a collaborative team culture in Malaysia's dynamic manufacturing sector.
In addition to technical duties, you will support safety programs, 5S housekeeping, and data capture for ongoing KPI tracking. You will liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure material availability and on-time line readiness, contributing to a culture of quality and performance that aligns with Grand Venture Technology's standards.
