We are seeking a dynamic philosopher to join the New England Institute of Philosophical Inquiry as an Assistant Professor of Philosophy. This full-time role emphasizes both teaching excellence and rigorous research, with opportunities for curricular innovation and departmental leadership.

Responsibility
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in core areas of philosophy (ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, logic) and design engaging seminars for diverse student audiences.
- Supervise and mentor honors theses and graduate theses; provide constructive feedback and guidance on research design.
- Conduct original research leading to peer-reviewed publications; present findings at conferences and contribute to the institute's research agenda.
- Apply for external funding, manage research projects, and collaborate on grant proposals as appropriate.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments (cognitive science, political philosophy, history of philosophy) to develop interdisciplinary courses and programs.
- Lead curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Engage with the broader community through outreach, public philosophy events, and representation of the department at conferences and forums.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field by the start date.
- Strong record of scholarly publications and presentations in philosophy.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels, including mentoring diverse students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work across disciplines.
- Commitment to inclusive excellence and the ability to contribute to a welcoming academic environment.
- Experience with curriculum development and program assessment; readiness to design new courses.
- Experience with grant writing or external funding is preferred but not required.
