Responsibility
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across assigned subjects and grade levels.
- Develop and implement comprehensive unit and lesson plans that differentiate for diverse learners.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Differentiate instruction and provide targeted interventions to support all students, including English learners and students with special needs.
- Collaborate with department peers, counselors, and administrators to plan curriculum and data-driven improvement strategies.
- Incorporate technology, multimedia resources, and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes student engagement, safety, and character development.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or subject-specific field and valid teaching certification for Washington State.
- Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience at the secondary level preferred; strong first-year candidates considered.
- Proven ability to use data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with learning management systems (e.g., Google Classroom, Canvas) and classroom technology.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and differentiated instruction for diverse learners.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and school-wide initiatives.
