Responsibility

  • Partner with students to develop personalized academic and career plans aligned with their strengths and interests.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to support social-emotional well-being and resilience.
  • Deliver classroom presentations on college readiness, career exploration, and postsecondary options.
  • Assess student needs, coordinate with teachers, families, and outside resources, and track progress in confidential records.
  • Design and implement targeted interventions and referrals for at-risk students.

Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Educational Psychology, School Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid state school counselor certification or licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in K-12 counseling or higher education advising.
  • Strong knowledge of career assessment tools and college admissions processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills with diverse student populations.
  • Experience with data-driven counseling, case management, and progress tracking.
