Northbridge College of Theology invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Theology. This full-time role emphasizes excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service within a faith-informed academic community located in Seattle, Washington.
\nWe seek a scholar with a rigorous research agenda in theology who can teach core courses in systematic theology, historical theology, and religious ethics, while offering electives in specialized topics and mentoring students.
Responsibility

- Teach and design undergraduate and graduate courses in core theological disciplines, including systematic theology, historical theology, and ethics. \n
- Develop innovative curricula, learning assessments, and inclusive teaching practices to serve a diverse student body. \n
- Supervise theses, capstones, and research projects; mentor student scholars and ministry interns. \n
- Engage in ongoing scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and present at conferences. \n
- Collaborate on curriculum development, program review, and accreditation efforts within the theology department. \n
- Advise students on academic pathways, graduate study, and faith-based vocations. \n
- Participate in department governance, committee work, and community outreach initiatives. \n
- Contribute to the college’s mission by fostering an inclusive, vibrant intellectual environment. \n
Qualification
- \n
- PhD in Theology, Religious Studies, or a closely related field from an accredited institution. \n
- Demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching with a strong record of student mentorship. \n
- Active research agenda with potential for external funding and publication in top-tier venues. \n
- Ability to teach a broad range of courses across theological disciplines and modalities (in-person, hybrid, online). \n
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and accreditation processes. \n
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and campus life. \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and service to the college community. \n
