What you will do includes partnering with clients to understand business objectives, supporting deal strategy, performing due diligence, drafting memos and contracts, and assisting with case strategy and discovery as needed. Responsibility
- Contribute to corporate, transactional, and litigation matters with senior attorneys
- Draft, edit, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and related documents
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda
- Assess risk, provide strategic recommendations, and support decision making
- Manage deadlines, track matters, and coordinate with clients and internal teams
- Assist with due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions
- Support discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation as needed
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to the New York State Bar or eligible for admission
- 2 to 6 years of relevant experience in corporate law, litigation, or related fields
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with client service orientation
- Proactive, collaborative, and results driven with strong professional ethics
