Responsibility
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and synthesize findings to guide strategy.
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and discovery schedules to ensure timely filings.
- Advise clients on risk, settlement options, and litigation strategy.
- Prepare for and observe depositions; assist with trial preparation and witness coaching.
- Collaborate with partners across practice areas on complex commercial disputes.
- Draft and negotiate pre-trial orders, settlement agreements, and stipulations.
- Support business development by contributing to client pitches and thought leadership.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; active New York bar admission required.
- 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience; strong courtroom and briefing skills preferred.
- Excellent legal research and writing abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple matters and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client-relations skills.
- Proficiency with litigation technologies, e-discovery tools, and case management software.
- Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and intellectual rigor.
- Collaborative team player with initiative, judgment, and a client-centered approach.
