Summit Legal Partners is a premier NYC law firm delivering strategic counsel to high-growth companies and Fortune 500 clients. We are seeking an ambitious Associate Lawyer with strong foundations in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and litigation to join our New York City office.

Responsibility
- Provide strategic legal counsel on corporate matters, including governance, contracts, securities, and M&A transactions.
- Lead or support due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and coordination of closing documents for transactions.
- Assist with cross-border matters and regulatory compliance for clients in various industries.
- Manage discovery, pleadings, and motion practice in litigation matters; prepare briefs and client-ready analyses.
- Draft high-quality agreements, risk assessments, and policy documents; review vendor and client contracts.
- Engage with clients to understand objectives, manage expectations, and deliver practical solutions.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to develop business opportunities and contribute to firm growth.
Qualification
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school; active NY bar admission or eligibility
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate law, M&A, and/or commercial litigation; experience at a national or international law firm preferred
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; ability to advise clients clearly
- Strong research skills and proficiency with relevant software (e.g., E-Discovery tools, case management)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters with deadlines; strong organizational and communication skills
- Client-focused mindset with professional judgment and ethical integrity
- Team player with leadership potential and willingness to mentor junior associates
