Responsibility
- Oversee all athletic operations for home games, practices, and events, ensuring on-time readiness and flawless execution.
- Coordinate with security, arenas, and venue staff to ensure safety and compliance with league standards.
- Manage vendor contracts, equipment, inventory, and facility needs to support events and training sessions.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for game day operations and event workflows.
- Collaborate with analytics, performance, and guest services teams to optimize fan experience and operational efficiency.
- Oversee scheduling, travel logistics, and staffing for athletes, staff, and interns.
- Monitor budget adherence, track expenses, and produce post-event debriefs to inform future planning.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Operations, or related field; or 5+ years of equivalent experience in sports operations.
- Proven track record managing large-scale events or game-day operations within professional sports settings.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the sports calendar.
- Knowledge of venue safety, league compliance, and operational risk mitigation.
- Proficiency with project management tools and data analytics (Excel; SQL basics or BI is a plus).
- Excellent problem-solving, vendor management, and decision-making abilities with a collaborative mindset.
