Join Pacific Elite Sports Group, a premier organization delivering data driven performance solutions for elite teams and athletes. We are seeking a Senior Sports Performance Analyst in Los Angeles to lead performance analysis, biomechanics, and data integration across our athlete roster.
In this role you will translate complex data into clear actions that optimize training load, reduce injury risk, and enhance competition readiness. You will collaborate with coaching staffs, medical teams, and sport scientists to design evidence-based programs.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end performance analytics for training and competition, including load management and injury risk assessment.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting to inform coaches and medical staff.
- Apply biomechanics and kinematic analysis to assess movement quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with analytics and coaching teams to translate data into actionable training adjustments.
- Design and validate data collection protocols, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Monitor and interpret GPS, GPS-based metrics, heart rate, and external load data.
- Present insights to senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning for athlete development.
- Stay current with sports science literature and industry best practices to drive innovation.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Data Science, or related field; Master's preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in sports performance analysis or equivalent role in professional or elite sport environments.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (Python or R), SQL, and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI).
- Experience with biomechanical analysis, GPS/accelerometer data, and workload monitoring systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into practical training recommendations and communicate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Knowledge of injury prevention principles, physiology, and sport science research methods.
